Dave asked:

Is there a difference between the two?

Profit/loss will be cut by the same amount either way, correct?

My understanding anyway you are essentially controlling 500000 worth of 1000 lots thats my understanding anyway you invest if you will be wielding less at 50to1 leverage your initial 10000 is only controlling 1000000 worth of assets at 100to1 leverage means that you are better off cutting leverage think.
